Heading into the Veterans Day weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next four days. Events include live comedy, art and heater, multiple holiday craft fairs around Carson City and Carson Valley as well as several Veterans Day ceremonies and offers of gratitude to vets and active duty members of the U.S. military on Monday. The Brewery Arts Center is back in the running to bring a 10 week free, live music series to Carson City next June 6 through August 15, 2020.

Sponsored by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, a national foundation dedicated to strengthening the social fabric of America through free live music, Brewery Arts Center hopes to qualify, once again, as one of the Top 25 finalists competing for a 2020 Levitt AMP Your City Grant Award.

SET deputies arrest four in connection with felony drug crimes from local inn

A 20-year-old Carson City woman, a 33-year-old Carson City man, a 27-year-old Carson City man, and a 33-year-old Carson City man were arrested in the 200 block of W. Caroline for several drug-related felonies.

Special Enforcement Team deputies arrested the Sarina Welch, Graften James Dodge, Trevor Hammond, and Ronald Nigra after SET received several tips, information and complaints regarding drug use and sales at a room in a downtown Carson City Inn.

Carson City deputies arrest woman for stealing car, eluding deputies, hit and run, assault with a deadly weapon, and more

— A 34-year-old transient woman was arrested in the 800 block of North Roop Street on 13 charges including grand theft auto, hit and run, eluding, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Nicole Lee Katz was arrested after deputies were dispatched to the Carson City Aquatics Center for a report of a stolen vehicle.
