UPDATE: Missing Lake Tahoe skier found dead

A skier who was reported missing Monday at a Lake Tahoe ski resort was found dead Tuesday morning, immersed in deep snow, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Carson City firefighters save dog in second floor fire at St. Charles

UPDATE 4:50PM: Jim Phalan, owner of The Fox Brewpub, said they are now back open for business. He said the sprinklers from the second story flooded the brewery and parts of the walk-in refrigeration, and they had to throw away a lot of food. They also lost most of their lunch business for the day.

"I am sure there is ceiling damages, I just do not know how much at this point," Phalan said. "But we didn't lose any beer."

He also thanked the first responders for saving the dog and the hotel. "Who knows how much worse it could have been," he said.

On Tuesday afternoon at 12:16 p.m., Carson City Fire units were dispatched to a structure fire at 310 S. Carson Street, the St. Charles Residential Hotel.

UPDATE 1:02PM: A dog was revived after being found unconscious and rescued after suffering smoke inhalation and was taken to a veterinarian hospital due to a small fire at St. Charles Hotel, said Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon. The fire was contained to one room and was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.

Carson City enjoys mild weather ahead of Sunday storm

Saturday went to the dogs at Fuji Park dog park as owners and their four-legged friends enjoyed mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures into the mid-50s.

Owners search for missing dog that may be in Carson City area

My dog, Barrett, has been missing for a month and he was seen being picked up by a tan SUV with Nevada plates. We then got a tip suggesting that he may be in the Carson City area.

Missing Chihuahua near Koontz Lane

My dog, Milo, went missing on January 17 around noon. He was last seen behind Raley's near the Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He is a light and dark brown six year-old Chihuahua with white on his chest. He did not have a collar.
