The Passing of the Baton - Capital City Community Band free concert on Nevada Day Oct. 27th

The Capital City Community Band will present its annual Nevada Day free concert at 2:00P.M. on Saturday, October 27th in the Capital Amphitheater.
The concert will feature variety of music from Dixieland to Marches to Patriotic songs. A special feature will be “Home Means Nevada” by Marine Band arranger Sgt. Scott Ninmer.
The arrangement will feature Doug Thunder, a forty-one-year member of the band, on Euphonium.

The siblings started performing at an early age. Donny first entered the public eye when he joined his older brothers’ singing group,”The Osmonds,” and appeared regularly on “The Andy Williams Show.” Donny and Marie both recorded solo albums before joining forces to star on the 1970s TV variety show “Donny & Marie.”

Take full advantage of your free time and check out some of today’s activities. Live music at McFadden Plaza tonight features local cover band, Deception. The Bowers Mansion Bluegrass Festival kicks off tonight with a band in the Davis Creek Campground. The U.S. Air Force’s Jazz Ensemble performs at the Bob Boldrick Theater as part of the Jazz and Beyond Music Festival. Free tickets have been available at the Chamber of Commerce for a few weeks, and if any are left, their numbers will be limited.

King St. The concert was originally planned for Comma Courtyard, but the performers want to present the event in a comfortable and healthy atmosphere.
