A bowling tournament and the Comstock Shootout Soccer tournament have the hotels and motels busting at the seams. Celebrate Earth Day with Muscle Powered by making a small piece of Carson City that much cleaner; the trash meets at 8 a.m. and leaves you plenty of time to enjoy the day. Rummage and book sales, live music, a fun run and a half-marathon, comedy and so much more await you. Check out the list for all the ways to embrace the sunshine.

Students, K-12 and University, will enjoy the free swim day at the Carson Hot Springs. The Carson Nugget is turning into quite the downtown hotspot with a different headlining comedian each Friday, in addition to live music in two places. Check out their newest offering, the Beer Bar, during tonight's grand opening. So much more awaits you today, you'll just have to see what strikes your fancy.

Carson City's Eagle Valley young Jedi engineers headed to world LEGO finals in Houston

Eagle Valley’s Jedi Engineers First LEGO League Team won the Northern Nevada LEGO League Championship and is now headed to the World Championship finals in Houston in April. They have also been invited to compete in Bath, England this summer.

Bernadette Smith. They got into an argument at the top of Spooner on Highway 50. One was pushed out of the vehicle, got tangled up in the car and received road rash. The other was stopped in Carson City and detained. The person pushed out of the vehicle refused medical treatment. Neither wished to file charges against either other.

Nevada child support program debit card to change, new cards go out in December

The change is due to the previous card issuer, JPMorgan Chase, exiting the government prepaid card field.

Arts and crafts take over the small hamlet of Genoa this weekend; get a jump on your holiday gift list. All the other corners of Northern Nevada are a playground for the thousands of motorcycle riders and enthusiasts here to enjoy the bike rally. Battle Born Harley on Research Way offers a huge party without ever leaving the valley. Those two events are hardly all that Carson City and our neighboring counties have to offer, however. Keep reading for more fun than you’ll know what to do with.

A person who recognized a Honda he had recently seen posted to Facebook as being stolen discovered the vehicle Monday night across from a McDonald's drive-thru and called 911 to report it, resulting in the arrest of a person of interest for attempted homicide, a Carson City sheriff's sergeant said.
