Around 5:20 p.m. Friday evening an accident with injury involving at least two cars was reported on S. Carson Street near Terribles.

First responders, Carson City Sheriff’s Office and Nevada Highway Patrol are enroute.

A non-injury accident was reported at 1:48 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Saliman and Como Streets.

A traffic accident was reported at 2:50 p.m. Friday afternoon at Old Clear Creek and South Carson.

One person involved is requesting medical services.

Carson City welcomes new deputy, sheriff discusses community responsibility at ceremony

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office held a swearing in ceremony Thursday for Jacob Vanbeuge, who was welcomed as a new sheriff’s deputy.

Vanbeuge is a United States Army veteran and was presented with an army pin to wear on his uniform by Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong following his badge pinning ceremony.

At 2:52 p.m. a vehicle accident was reported on southbound I-580 at Fairview.

First responders are enroute to the scene.

Responders are advising the accident is on the off ramp on Fairview.

Traffic accident with injuries reported Thursday morning at College Parkway and Retail

At 9:26 a.m. Thursday a traffic accident was reported on College Parkway and Retail.

A van and a white sedan collided, and one person is complaining of chest pain due to the impact.

Three vehicle accident reported on Highway 50 and Northgate

A three vehicle accident was reported at 5:24 p.m. on Northgate and Highway 50.

The reporting party called into dispatch stating there had been an issue with their brakes and they struck another vehicle.

City of Reno curfew lifted

UPDATE Wednesday: Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve has lifted a curfew that began Tuesday. The city is working on putting into place a modified plan that would limit large gatherings to 50-plus people, a city spokesman said in a Tweet.

UPDATE: Late Tuesday afternoon it was announced that Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak canceled a planned press conference. He will instead address Nevadans in a videotaped message. In a news release from the Governor's Office it noted that late last week Gov. Sisolak had visited a work place where an employee — who was not in the building at the time — has since reported testing positive for COVID-19. The Governor’s Office learned of the positive test result on Tuesday.

Fishing Report: Spring Fishing has begun, Lakes and Campgrounds beginning to open

Hello fellow anglers, welcome to Memorial weekend. As many of you know, Inyo County is closed to fishing until June 1st. But on May 22 the Mono County Board of Supervisors wrote a letter to the CDFW director Charles H Bonham, requesting the reopening of fishing season earlier then their previous request. As of May 23rd, Mono County is now open for the 2020 fishing season, right along Alpine County that opened on May 15th.
