Acclaimed MarchFourth Marching Band to headline Carson City Off-Road concert event

Next month's third annual Carson City Off-Road mountain bike event will feature a concert lineup of bands that is sure to rock the capital city, including the internationally-acclaimed, genre-breaking force of MarchFourth Marching Band.

Oak Ridge Boys album cover taken at Virginia City's iconic Bucket of Blood 40 years ago

They were known as “The Oak Ridge Quartet” when they were formed in 1945. The name change came in 1961 when they became “The Oak Ridge Boys.” Several members have come and gone over the years, but the mainstay of this group for the last 40 years are the first four men on the cover of this album.

Pike illegally reintroduced again at Comins Lake, $10,000 reward offered

With the discovery of illegally planted Northern pike in Comins Lake, the Nevada Department of Wildlife is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of the person(s) responsible.
