A 33-year-old Gardnerville man, Jason Richard Thrift, has been identified as the victim of Monday's fatal shooting at a Gardnerville home, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect in the shooting, Nichole Christine Followill, 29, faces a charge of murder. Initial reports of the investigation alleges that Thrift and Followill had been involved in a dispute at a home they shared in the 1300 block of Toler Lane.
Followill allegedly produced a handgun and shot Thrift one time, said Douglas County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Pat Brooks.
Followill will be arraigned in the East Fork Justice Court on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
