Black Friday in Carson City region: masks aplenty and fewer in-person shoppers bring a mellower experience
While Carson City has never had Black Friday tramplings, Black Friday—along with Thanksgiving evening—have often been a busy and popular shopping day for capital city residents.
In recent years more and more people are opting to shop online, and it appears this year that sentiment has only increased.
At the major retailers such as Walmart, Target, Best Buy and more, parking lots were busy but not packed, and there was more than enough room to social distance inside.
While numbers aren’t it, by observation alone it looks like this year’s Black Friday has been significantly more mellow. Retailers also offered curb side pick up to varying degrees on their deals and sales, which contributed to the decrease in foot traffic within the stores.
