Carson City area casinos see 1.35 percent increase in October gaming revenue
Gambling revenue in the Carson City ticked up by 1.35 percent in October compared with a year ago, the Nevada Gaming Control Board reports Wednesday. Statewide,
revenues are down 2.6 percent.
Casinos in Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville and Douglas County with the exception of Stateline took in $8,073,373 for the month of October in gaming. In all, Nevada casinos brought in $954 million for the month.
Laughlin casinos took in the most in gaming revenue for the month, seeing an 11.52 percent increase, while those casinos at south shore Lake Tahoe in Stateline saw a 22.50 percent decrease. Casinos on the north shore of Lake Tahoe saw a 7.32 increase in gambling profits, according to the Gaming Control Board.
