Douglas and Carson City rescue crews, NHP respond to rollover halfway up US50 Spooner
Rescue units from Tahoe-Douglas, the Nevada Highway Patrol and Carson City sheriff's deputies were called Tuesday afternoon to a vehicle rollover in the eastbound lane of Highway 50 West halfway up Spooner. The driver was not seriously injured. Traffic has been reduced to one lane.
The rollover was reported at 2:22 p.m. by multiple 911 callers. The incident involves a pickup. The driver was reportedly out of the vehicle and shaken up but not seriously injured.
Carson City Fire Department was also called and was staged at Golf Club Drive.
Traffic in the eastbound lane is affected. Motorists can expect delays. The cause of the crash is under investigation and the road is reportedly icy.
