October gaming revenue in Carson City area, Lake Tahoe sees increase over 2019 figures
Casinos in Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and other areas of Douglas County except for south shore Lake Tahoe saw gaming revenue, also called "gaming win," amounting to $10,065,179 for the month, up 1.9 percent from October 2019.
Both north Lake Tahoe and south shore Tahoe, also posted gaming win increases, of 21.98 percent and 10.87 percent respectively. Casinos in Reno also had an increase of 6.08 percent, and Sparks, 2.57 percent. Washoe County saw its gaming win increase by 6.12 percent.
While the figures show northern Nevada gaming on a rebound, Las Vegas area casinos continue to struggle. Casinos on the Las Vegas strip saw gaming win down 30.22 percent over October 2019 figures.
Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $822,676,544 for the month of October 2020. This amounts to a 19.50 percent decrease compared to October 2019, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,021,966,875.
