Body of missing Silver Springs man found
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office received a phone call Sunday morning from a Silver Springs resident, who reported that a body had been discovered in a nearby wash.
The body was later identified as that of Larry Hyatt, 77, of Silver Springs.
Hyatt was last seen on Wednesday evening, Nov. 2, and had been the focus of an extensive three-day search operation. His cause of death is pending a review by the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office.
Lyon County Sheriff Al McNeil and members of the Lyon County Sheriff's Office send their heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Hyatt.
In addition, Sheriff McNeil wants to thank the members of the Lyon County Search and Rescue, the RAVEN crew from Washoe County Sheriff's Office, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Silver Springs, and community members who gave tirelessly of their time in this effort.
