Carson City Aquatic Facility to close for repairs
Carson City is dedicated to re-investing in its parks infrastructure. As part of this on-going effort, the roof at the Carson Aquatic Facility is being replaced and has been under construction for several weeks.
During construction, some moisture damage was discovered, which will require a brief closure of the facility to repair the damage. While there is no immediate safety concern, the entire facility must be closed during the repairs to ensure the health and safety of users and provide full access for the contractors before winter weather arrives. While this closure is unfortunate and unforeseen, it is a problem that would have been much worse if not discovered as part of the roof project.
Work will begin promptly and with the longevity of the facility and the safety of users in mind.
The Carson Aquatic Facility will be closed approximately one week beginning Friday, October 27th and is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Saturday, November 4th.
The City appreciates the public’s patience and support while the repairs are being made. The Carson Aquatic Facility is a unique resource in this community and the City is dedicated to ensuring the facility remains safe for the public to use and enjoy.
