Dbacks seek moves at trade deadline; ex-Aces update
The up-and-down Arizona Diamondbacks might make some moves again at the Aug. 31 MLB trade deadline.
At the halfway point of the shortened 60-game MLB season, the Diamondbacks are last in the National League West Division at 13-18. Arizona had a season-best six game winning streak from Aug. 12-18, but have tumbled in the standings with a season-worst seven game losing streak.
Plagued by offensive inconsistency and pitching struggles, the Dbacks may be active on the trade market. Last season, Diamondbacks General Manager Hazen made substantial moves at the deadline, shipping ace pitcher Zack Greinke to the Houston Astros and traded its top prospect, shortstop Jazz Chisholm, to the Miami Marlins for pitcher Zac Gallen.
