Carson City deputies called to residence on report of an ‘agitated’ man with a gun, children inside
UPDATE 8:59 p.m.: The baby has been rescued with no injuries and the man is no longer a threat, according to law enforcement on scene. N. Edmonds is still closed for traffic but residents should be allowed back into their homes shortly
UPDATE 8:45 p.m.: Several series of gunfire could be heard as well as shouting from law enforcement on scene.
UPDATE 7:54 p.m.: Another gun shot.
UPDATE 7:06 p.m.: Another gun shot, followed by more shouting.
UPDATE 7:03 p.m.: A large commotion followed by shouting could be heard coming from the residence.
UPDATE 6:05 p.m.: SWAT is on scene.
UPDATE 5:50 p.m.: At the scene, an additional two more gun shots were heard.
UPDATE: 5:31p.m.: Dispatch advised the man had shot himself in the leg; however, no injuries have been seen.

Just before 5 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a residence near Brown and Edmonds on a report of a man with a gun with three small children in the home, who was “agitated” according to deputies and stated he wanted a “death by cop.”
At around 4:45, deputies reported they had two of the three children in custody, but that the man was holding one.
At 5:15 p.m., North Edmonds was closed off with police tape in both ends, and deputies could be seen wearing bullet proof vests.
At around 5:20 p.m. a warning shot was fired by the man and had been pointing a gun at one of the children, himself, and the deputies.
