Power outage affects more than 2,100 Dayton area NV Energy customers

UPDATE: NV Energy reports power being restored to the south and east of Dayton Valley Airpark. As of 11:17 p.m. there were 936 customers without power.

UPDATE: NV Energy reports 450 customers in the Dayton area now have had their power restored after a large outage tonight. There are still 1,655 customers without power as of around 8:30 p.m., said NV Energy spokeswoman Faye Andersen.
The power outage may be weather related, she said. There hasn't been an estimated time yet on when all the power will be restored. They are trying to get it restored piece by piece, said Andersen.

More than 2,100 NV Energy customers in the Dayton area are without power Thursday night. Power went out in the area at around 7:10 p.m. and there has been no time given as to when the power is expected to be restored.
The outage is under investigation, according to the NV Energy website. In all, 2,114 customers have been affected.
