Road and roundabout work continues this week around Carson City

Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of July 27 through Aug. 2, as well as the South Carson Street Project report for the week. For information on lane restrictions and street closures related to the South Carson Street Project, please visit CarsonProud.com.
For the South Carson Street Project, the following roadways will be impacted:
— 5th Street to Stewart St: one lane in each direction will be open, the cone zone will remain in place around-the-clock, flaggers as needed. Electrical and irrigation trench work on east side of roadway through intersections: 7th, 6th, and 5th street
— Stewart Street at the Carson Street intersection will be closed in both directions.
— Frontage Road is open to two-way traffic with temporary driveway closures.
— Fairview Drive: one lane in each direction will be open around-the-clock.
— Clearview to Fairview: one lane in each direction, the cone zone will remain in place around-the-clock.
— Rhodes to Fairview: east side roadway work.
Elsewhere around Carson City, closures and lane reductions are expected at the following locations due to road and utility work:
— Airport Road remains closed in both directions to through traffic between US 50 and Woodside Drive, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday through Sunday, 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. Residential and business access will be allowed. JAC service will continue; however, detours will be in effect.
— Airport Road will be closed between US 50 and Carmine Street, Friday through Sunday, 9:00 pm to 6:00 am as part of the ongoing sewer project.
— Retail Court will be closed east of College Parkway, Monday through Friday, all day. Access to the businesses will be maintained. There may also be periodic closures and detours to the multi-use path between Emerson Drive and Retail Court.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road and utility work:
— 2nd Street, 3rd Street, and Valley Street will have single lane closures while crews reconstruct the parking lot along Stewart Street, Monday through Friday, during daytime hours.
— Airport Road will have flagger controls between Minonee Lane and Menlo Drive, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm while crews begin construction of the waterline.
— College Parkway will have a single lane closure in the westbound direction between the I-580 Interchange and Retail Court for construction associated with the adjacent development, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The lane closure may extend up the interchange ramps.
— Fairview Drive will have continued eastbound and westbound single lane closures while utility work and roadway reconstruction occurs, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
— US 50 will have lane closures and lane shifts in both directions between Lompa Lane and Fairview Drive, Friday through Sunday, 9:00 pm to 6:00 am as part of the Airport Road Sewer Project.
