Carson City Fire Department called to fire on Idaho Street
UPDATE: 11:14AM: The vegetation fire Wednesday morning in the 2200 block of Idaho Street was started by a downed NV Energy power line, according to a Carson City Fire Department battalion chief.

UPDATE 10:40AM: The fire has been extinguished, crews are cleaning up and engines are returning. One engine will remain on scene awaiting the arrival of NV Energy.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Wednesday morning to a structure fire that was reportedly moving into brush in the 2200 block of Idaho Street.
The came into dispatch shortly before 10:30 a.m. and involves the exterior and not the interior of the home, according to a battalion chief on scene. A downed power line has been located at the residence, which may have caused the fire.
NV Energy has been contacted. Firefighters on scene are extinguishing flames, trying to keep the fire from spreading.
