Firefighters knock down two homes on fire in Carson City neighborhood; dogs rescued
Update: 5:11 p.m.: A fire truck reportedly had some damage from an accident that happened during the initial call. No injuries reported. Remaining fire units will continue to clean up hot spots around the fires and will probably be there for another 30 minutes. Fire investigators are now trying to determine what caused the fire that ignited two homes this afternoon.

Update: 4:22 p.m.: Both house fires in the 3200 block of Dilsday Drive in Carson City are out. The initial call at at 3:37 p.m. Two dogs were reportedly rescued. Those in the neighboood who were evacuated are allowed to go back into their homes.

A report coming in at 4:08 this afternoon is that both fires may have been "knocked down" according to firefighters on-scene.

Fire trucks from Carson City, Sierra Fire Protection District, Washoe/Incline and Eastfork are responding; additional units have been put standby or will go to other stations. The call came in at 3:37 p.m.
Initial reports are that all people are out of the homes.
