WNC-CNCC baseball series moved back a day
Western Nevada College and Colorado Northwestern Community College will move the start of their four-game baseball series to Saturday because of rain in the forecast.
With weather forecasters predicting a 70 percent chance of rain in Carson City on Friday, the games were moved back to the weekend.
The doubleheaders will start at 1 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday at John L. Harvey Field.
Both teams bring winning streaks into the series. WNC has won its past five games and sits second in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings at 20-8. The Spartans have won two in a row and three of their past four and are third in the SWAC at 13-15.
