Nevada casinos report healthy February gaming profits, Carson City area sees slight drop
Gaming profits at Nevada casinos bounced back in February with a 15.3 percent increased "win" over figures for the same time period in 2012, the state's Gaming Control Board reports Wednesday. For the fiscal year gaming win has increased 2.29 percent.
Carson City area casinos saw a 3.37 percent decline in February profits over February 2012. Casinos in Carson City, Minden and Gardnerville and elsewhere in Douglas County except Tahoe took in $7,598,406 for the month in gaming compared to $7,863,077 in 2012.
Nearby, South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 7.4 percent increase in gaming profits in February compared to last year during the same month, taking in $16,290,238. North Lake Tahoe saw a 35.26 increase in gaming "win" keeping $2,195,188.
