Carson City security employee charged with domestic violence
A 48-year-old Carson City man who reportedly works in security was arrested and faces charges of domestic battery and obstructing a police officer following an incident near the 2400 block of Poole Way in Carson City.
The man allegedly pushed his girlfriend of 11 years into a refrigerator after she asked him to turn down his music in their home.
According to the March 25 arrest report, the man was belligerent when deputies arrived. Dispatch had informed deputies while en route to the scene that the man had weapons in the house. When officers arrived the man yelled: "What? Are you going to shoot me? You'd better shoot me motherfu****."
According to the deputy report, the man said that his girlfriend was "pushing his buttons" and said that pushing her down wasn't a big deal. When officers informed him that he was being placed under arrested for domestic battery the man said: "What? All I did was push her. What has this country come to when a woman can push your buttons and you can't do anything about it. It would be better off if I was dead."
The man made multiple statements about things being better off if he were dead and even asked the officer to shoot him, according to the report.
Meanwhile, a 44-year-old Carson City woman, employed as a customer service representative, was arrested on a domestic battery charge after she allegedly punched her boyfriend in the face near the 3200 block of Dale Drive, according to a March 25 report.
The couple had been drinking in a bar and had an argument, according to the report. As the woman attempted to leave, the victim tried to stop his girlfriend, but she slammed the car door into his fingers, smashing them.
The couple got into the car and returned to their home where the argument continued. The woman admitted to officers that she hit her boyfriend in the face several times with her fist. She submitted to a breath test where she blew a preliminary .137. She was arrested and faces charges of domestic battery and failure to complete community service. Her bail was set at 3,632.
