Carson City deputies called after man reportedly shot off road in Goni area
UPDATE: 9:44PM: Carson City sheriff's deputies have reached the injured man and two others, and they were going to take the man down the hill to an awaiting fire department rescue crew who will take him to the hospital. The weapon has been secured. The man had minor bleeding and was reported to be in stable condition. Deputies are investigating.

UPDATE 920PM: Care Flight had been called but canceled due to weather. Carson City sheriff's deputies were still trying to get to the injured man as of 9:23 p.m.

Carson City sheriff's deputies and fire department were called to the area of Goni canyon toward McClellan Peak in Storey County shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a man who had a gunshot wound.
Dispatch received a call from the man who said he had been shot. Dispatch said the man sounded intoxicated and that others were at the scene.
The caller advised that he was in an area and there was snow on the ground, with the caller saying they had been stuck for more than an hour. Dispatch relayed to deputies that the man's breathing appeared to be shallow when speaking with him.
McClellan Peak is located north of Carson City in Storey County, between Washoe Lake and Silver City.
