TravelNevada announces new international sales and public relations specialist
TravelNevada has hired Yennifer Reyes Callen as its international sales and public relations specialist, handling several of the state’s key international outreach programs.
Reyes Callen comes to the position with seven years in leisure sales management, marketing development, finance and client relations. In her role at TravelNevada — the Nevada Division of Tourism — she will coordinate TravelNevada’s partnerships with Brand USA, the national organization that promotes international travel to the United States. Reyes Callen also will assist with familiarization and press tours for international sales and media partners as well as coordinate TravelNevada’s sales and media marketplace events, connecting international buyers and media with statewide suppliers in the travel industry at the Governor’s Global Tourism Summit.
“International visitors are a growing segment of Nevada’s tourism profile, and TravelNevada is preparing to meet the demands of this expanding market with the addition of Yennifer to our team,” Claudia Vecchio, director of the Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, said. “We are very pleased to have such a respected member of Reno’s tourism professionals join our team as we look forward to drawing more international visitors to the Silver State.”
TravelNevada actively promotes the state in the international arena, and has representation in nine countries: Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, South Korea and India. In addition, TravelNevada is currently seeking representation in China.
Before joining TravelNevada, Reyes Callen worked in sales and leisure sales at three Reno resort properties: Silver Legacy Resort & Casino, Grand Sierra Resort and Circus Circus Hotel & Casino. She has extensive experience handling convention groups, as well as an understanding of budget management, marketing segment reports and production strategies. Reyes Callen also has extensive experience in client relations. Reyes Callen holds an associate degree in marketing from Truckee Meadows Community College and has completed the Dale Carnegie sales training program. She is also fluent in Spanish.
