24-Hour Agony Ride Fundraiser to Benefit At-Risk Youth This Friday
Christian Encounter Ranch of Grass Valley, Calif., will hold its annual Agony Ride Fundraiser this Friday and Saturday, July 26th and 27th, in the Sierra Valley (about 1 hour northwest of Carson City off of Highway 70). During the event, cyclists commit to riding their bicycles as far as they can in 24 hours and are sponsored on a per-mile or flat rate basis.
Local rider Christopher Palmer, of Washoe Valley, will be riding for the 7th time this year. To date, he's ridden a total 1910 miles and raised more than $17,000 for the ministry.
The Agony Ride is the primary fundraiser for CER, which seeks to see broken lives restored in Christ and restored lives reaching the broken world around them. At CER's 86-acre ranch, 16-25 year-old residents receive love, spiritual guidance, and counseling. CER is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. All gifts are tax deductible.
It isn't too late to get involved! Sponsor a rider, sign up to be a sagger, or follow the ride's progress at agonyride.org. Learn more about CER at christianencounter.org.
