NAVY LEAGUE MEETING
The Carson City Council of the United States Navy League will hold its first meeting of the New Year on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino, Carson City. The Social hour will start at 5:30 PM and Dinner will begin at 6:30PM. Our speaker will be Commander James Shell, USN, Executive Officer, Naval Air Station Fallon. Commander Shell will be speaking on the expansion of the Bombing Ranges at Fallon.
There will also be an update on the activities of USNS Carson City,T-EPF-7.
For Reservations, please call Bud Southard, 882-7960. The price is $27 per person. Dinner Choices will be: Chicken Cordon Blue or Sliced Roast Beef with Mushroom Gravy. Reservations need to be in by Thursday, Feb. 8, 2017.
The Navy League of the United States was founded in 1902 and is a civilian organization with more than 50,000 members dedicated to educating American citizens and elected officials about the importance of sea power to U.S national security and supporting the men and women of the sea services and their families. The Carson City Council sponsors and supports Navy and Marine personnel at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center near Bridgeport, CA and NAS Fallon, NV, as well as, the Carson High Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Command.
