It’s a phrase often used when referring to raising children, but in reality, having a village is a lifelong need. That village becomes vital once a loved one starts showing signs of cognitive decline or receives a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
Minden's Kids and Horses program to host workshop for those living with dementia and their caretakers

The fall workshops run for two consecutive Saturdays.
Carson City health officials report first case of monkeypox in Lyon County

The case is isolating at home and does not require hospitalization. CCHHS has investigated and conducted contact tracing. No additional cases have been identified and no other information is available.

That averages about 1 in 9 people. Depending on genetics and health conditions, a person may have a greater risk of developing some kinds of dementia, or memory loss. While there is no cure, there have been studies that show key lifestyle changes may decrease the risk of having dementia.
