Senator Square:Carson High works to conserve energyBy Erin Been CHS does its part in helping to save the environment with its recycling program. Students and teachers are encouraged to recycle plastics, aluminum and paper. As well, we are conserving energy. One example of this is the Big Gym being equipped with motion-censor lights. It is a great effort in the building to conserve!***The M.A.S.H. program is up and running. The Mandatory Academic Study Hall is provided for freshmen who have two or more F's at the quarter. Students in the program are working hard at bringing up their grades and learning. The program is in its second year and is a huge success.***Ms. Garbiel's Oceanogra-phy class has concluded its diving training at the community pool in preparation for their Oceanography and Diving trip in Monterey, Calif.***Good luck to all of the teams competing in regional tournaments beginning this week.
