Women to Women Nevada repeat features education director of Carson City Symphony

This week's Women to Women Nevada is a repeat show from October. Host Carol Paz interviews Sue Jesch, Education Director of the Carson City Symphony as well as a private violin and viola instructor.

Jesch has taught violin and viola and performed professionally for more than 30 years. She began playing in the Carson City Symphony when she moved to Nevada in 2004 and is currently Concertmaster and Education Director.

Women to Women Nevada with Sue Jesch

Sue Jesch is the Education Director of the Carson City Symphony and an amazing private violin and viola instructor. She has taught violin and viola and performed professionally for more than 30 years. She began playing in the Carson City Symphony when she moved to Nevada in 2004.

She became founding director of the Symphony’s successful Strings in the Schools and Strings in the Summer programs in 2005. She is recipient of the 2011 Nevada Governor’s Arts Award for Leadership in Arts Education.

Mediterranean cuisine featured at Villa Basque culinary show

Villa Basque Deli and Cafe in Carson City, known for its basque specialties, featured a fun and educational culinary show Saturday enjoyed by more than 60 local residents.

It was ''Mediterranean Diet'' day at the restaurant, hosted by Carol Paz of the popular Women to Women Nevada program, her husband Chef Don Pepe Owner of Carpa LLC and Villa Basque Deli and Cafe owners Pete and Martha Coscarart.

Free Mediterranean food cooking demonstration Saturday at Villa Basque

Saturday, Oct. 19, is Mediterranean Day at Villa Basque Deli and Café here in Carson City.

From 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. the public is invited, free of charge, to learn about and sample the foods from the Mediterranean area of the world which are making such a healthy difference to our bodies.

Of course, RESERVATIONS are needed as space is limited. Please call 884-4451 to reserve a seat(s). Chef Don Pepe, a master in Mediterranean paella (the national dish of Spain), and Carol Paz of TV's Women to Women will be the presenters.

Women to Women Nevada with Bonners Fairy book series author Liz Patterson

Children's book writer Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Patterson is this week's guest on Women to Women Nevada.

Patterson, a Carson City Support Services Specialist, has penned a series of six children's fantasy and adventure books "Bonners Fairy." It being July 1, that means winners for the June contest were picked today. The contest was easy. A number between 1 and 500 was selected prior to the launch of the contest. Entries had to guess what the number was to win.
