President Donald Trump’s legal effort to overturn presidential results in Nevada has fallen short after a Carson City District Court judge rejected his team’s request to award the state’s six electoral votes to the incumbent.

On Friday, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak issued the following statement in response to President Donald Trump’s message to the American people on the election.

Former Vice President Joe Biden will become the 46th president of the United States after notching a projected victory in Pennsylvania Saturday morning that was cemented just a half-hour later by an expected win in Nevada.

The Nevada Secretary of State’s Elections Division provides various tools as a service to voters, such as the Registered Voter Services website and BallotTrax. Because the administration of elections in Nevada is highly decentralized, the tools offered by the Elections Division must take in data from the 17 counties in order to function.

Some Carson City voters are experiencing issues with an update on whether or not their ballots have been counted, but it’s an issue with data entry, not with the actual counting of ballots, according to the Carson City Clerk’s Office and the Secretary of State’s Office.

President Donald Trump’s campaign and the Nevada Republican Party plan to file a federal lawsuit in Las Vegas this morning asking a judge to stop the counting of “improper votes,” alleging that tens of thousands of people in the state cast a ballot despite no longer living here.
