The program includes Gloria from the Mass in B minor featuring the Tahoe Symphony Chorus and vocal soloists. Ms Pitcairn will perform Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D major on the legendary Red Mendelssohn Stradivarius violin. Other performances in the series at other venues are on Feb. 8, 11, and 15. Known for churning out the classics from the 1970s and 80's, Baker Street has developed a loyal Northern Nevada fan base, with its guitar-driven licks and crisp vocal stylings. There's no better way to celebrate summer than with music that rocks to it.
The Firkin Friday's outdoor concert is at 310 South Carson Street. There will be plenty of food, barbecue and drink specials going on inside.
WNC summer term begins June 9

At Western Nevada College students can choose from a variety of classes in the upcoming eight-week summer term. Classes begin June 9 and continue through August 2, unless otherwise noted.
More than 40 courses are scheduled for the summer, including writing, communications, art, music, theater, accounting math, and more. Over a dozen online classes are also available, providing students the flexibility of earning college credit while enjoying their summer activities.

Elaine and I first met them a number of years ago in downtown Anchorage, Alaska as a result of Barry and I both being active members of an outdoor website, Modernsportsman.
Since that initial, get-acquainted, Anchorage lunch, Barry has visited us at our home in Carson City and at our cabin near Davis Lake, Calif.

Assembly Passes Marriage Equality Resolution 27-14

Ben Kieckhefer. Kieckhefer has declined requests from various media outlets asking him to comment on his position, saying that his vote in favor of the resolution should speak for itself.
