NDOT to host virtual public information meeting on Mt. Rose Highway corridor plan

CARSON CITY — With intersection improvements already scheduled for coming years at two Mt. Rose Highway intersections, the Nevada Department of Transportation will launch a virtual public meeting on Jan. 26 to gather public feedback on corridor planning to define future traffic improvements to the lower segment of the highway.

Nevada DMV: New federal odometer rule affects vehicle sales

CARSON CITY — The Nevada DMV is advising private party vehicle sellers and the automotive industry of a new federal odometer disclosure rule that doubles the amount of time odometer readings must be declared at the time of a vehicle sale.

ICYMI: Traffic signal warnings signs to be updated Monday in Carson City, Douglas County

Beginning Monday, Nov. 30, drivers will see changes to the flashing warning signals placed in advance of some traffic signals in Carson City and Douglas County as the Nevada Department of Transportation updates the warning signals.

Celebrating Halloween in Carson City is really unlike any other place because the holiday sometimes lands on the same day as many Nevada Day festivities are underway. To have a more organized and safe Halloween for children, Carson City will again host its "BOOnanza" celebration this Thursday, and the Children's Museum will host a safe trick or treating event Friday.

Lions will be available at the North Carson Street Save Mart from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day to bring awareness to the public of the sight preservation programs the Lions support, and to raise funds as part of the annual White Cane Days.
