Support sought for horse protection fencing at Carson City's Centennial Park

This fence will help keep the wild horses in the hills and off the golf course, softball fields and out of the businesses and neighborhoods as well.

Senator Cyclists adopts Wild Horse Trail, Carson City's newest mountain biking trail
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Sat, 05/25/2019 - 7:20amCarson City’s Senator Cyclists adopted the newest biking trail in Carson, located behind the softball fields at the Centennial Sports Complex, and participated in a trail clean up Thursday afternoon despite the weather.
The Wild Horse Trail was created by then-Carson-High-Senior Connor McRae and Carson City’s muscle powered as a part of McRae’s senior project in 2018.
Dayton High School Softball’s Season to Remember

They ended the season 19-12, with a league record of 11-7 which landed them in fifth place heading into the Regional Tournament in Elko, NV. The season was full of memorable moments, ups and downs, and a very strong finish.

CHS Dean Sharon Hallinan sent an email out to all CHS teachers about this weather changing challenge. Hallinan told teachers to “please remind students of the Dress Code; highlight the fact that bare midriffs and holey jeans, which violate the ‘Fingertip Rule’, are not allowed.”

We have a bevy of activities lined up Friday including the opening of the Transcontinental Railroad exhibit at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, day 1 of the two-day Mother's Day Plant Sale hosted by The Greenhouse Project, RSVP's Spring Celebration and Carnival at Mills Park, a day hike, art showings, live music and more.

Even more amazing than the dances are the students behind the scenes who, with the guidance of Leadership Adviser Ann Britt and FBLA Adviser Angila Golik, transformed the CHS Big Gym so that all visitors, young and old alike, would think they had walked into a beautiful dream.
Senator Square: Carson High School's Carneta yearbook staff have successful year

At the end of the week before Spring Break, at 8:30 p.m., the final pages were submitted, and the book was officially finished. After months of interviewing, photographing, and editing, the book is currently being printed by Walsworth Publishing Co., in Marceline, Kansas.

Marchegger is the second Gatorade Nevada Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year to be chosen from Sierra Lutheran High School.
