Rummage sale continues today to benefit Sierra Lutheran athletic programs

What began Friday and runs through today, Saturday, Sierra Lutheran High School is holding its second annual community rummage sale to benefit their athletics department. All proceeds and funds raised at this event will go directly to the school.

Saturday's Carson City Holiday Crawl to raise funds for local school children in need

Downtown Carson City businesses will be offering special signature food and drink items during the second annual Holiday Crawl this Saturday.

“We’re going to have bands at Telegraph Square and McFadden Plaza, and DJs and karaoke all around,” said Meliah Gonzales. “There really is going to be something for everyone.”

Harvest Train arrives in Carson City for second annual run

Harvest time at the Nevada State Railroad Museum (NSRM) started Saturday in Carson City with a cornucopia of family fun and entertainment.

The Harvest Train returned to Carson City Saturday morning for another two-weekend run in October, steaming into Wabuska Station to begin its celebration of the fall season.

I’m usually a lover of sunny days, but right now I say bring on the rain. The moisture is a welcome help to our heroic firefighters in Lake Tahoe and Washoe Valley. Nevada State Parks launches second amateur photo contest at Fort Churchill

Fort Churchill State Historic Park in Silver Springs is pleased to announce its second annual amateur photo contest. Visitors to Fort Churchill and Buckland Station are invited to submit photos of scenery, plants, wildlife and cultural resources found within the park. The top three winners will receive a Nevada State Parks Passport Permit, good for unlimited free entrance to any Nevada State Park for an entire year.
