With 35 delegates at stake, supporters for Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders showed up in numbers at caucus sites throughout the state to show support for their favorite presidential candidate. At the time of this report, with 78% of precincts reporting, Hillary Clinton has 52.1% of the vote against Bernie Sanders' 47.8%.

Carson City voters to see state and local seats up for election
Submitted by Brett Fisher on Thu, 02/11/2016 - 9:51amThe presidential race notwithstanding, there are several statewide and local elected offices that are going to be put to the vote in 2016, according to Aubrey Rowlatt, Chief Deputy of Elections with the Carson City Clerk’s Office.
The most notable of the statewide races is the United States Senate seat being vacated by incumbent Harry Reid at the end of this year.
Both the Democrat and Republican parties have already posted leading candidates for this seat.
Carson City voter registration up in 2016

More than 27,600 registered voters were recorded in Carson City as of January 2016, the Secretary of State’s Office reports.
Increased voter registration, in fact, appears to be a statewide trend, too, the Secretary of State’s Office also reports.
