Two arrested in early Sunday robbery of elderly Carson City man and caretaker
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 05/28/2014 - 7:09pmTwo men are in custody Wednesday night following Sunday's armed robbery of an elderly man and caretaker inside a Canvasback Drive home, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
Detectives with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrested Jordan Burkhart, 24, of Wellington and Robert “Robbie” Michael Hernandez, 27, of Carson CIty. Burkhart was arrested at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office without incident on a probation violation, said Furlong. Following the arrest, the search continued for Hernandez and ended in the Reno/Sparks area. Bail was set at $250,000 each.

The suspect, Brent Muir, 55, of Carson City, was found by Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Mike Cullen after a vehicle pursuit by the FBI, Nevada Highway Patrol, Douglas County, Washoe County and Placer County, Calif., law officers.
Two Carson City men jailed on multiple felony charges following burglary, vehicle chase

Jacob Andrew Pacheaco, 27, and Danny Maxfield Jr., 37, were arrested separately, with Maxfield jumping out of a moving vehicle, suffering injuries which required him to go the hospital.

Passenger in Saturday's Carson City motorcycle crash at Roop and Fairview dies

Audrey G. Rugamas, 21, died of injuries after she was taken off of life support on Wednesday. Rugamas had received severe injuries sustained from the motorcycle crash with a vehicle, said NHP Trooper Dave Gibson.

They are Andrey L. Gallegos, 20, of Sparks, who was the driver of the motorcycle and passenger Audrey G. Rugamas, 21, of South Lake Tahoe, said NHP Trooper Dave Gibson. The two are reported to be critically injured and on life support.

Two people remain critically injured after a motorcycle crash Saturday night in Carson City, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The names of the victims have not been released but the passenger of the unregistered green 2007 Suzuki motorcycle is a 21-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman and the driver, 20, had Nebraska identification, said NHP Trooper Dan Lopez. They were flown separately to Renown Medical Center in Reno.

Samantha Rose Randazzo is being held on $20,000 bail. Her court arraignment is March 4, 9 a.m. in Carson City. Randazzo allegedly rammed a patrol vehicle and then refused to get out of the SUV she was driving.
NHP ends high speed chase through Douglas, Carson City and Washoe County after conditions become too dangerous

The pursuit of a silver Hyundai Sonata happened after a traffic stop in Mono County in which the driver was taken out of the vehicle and the passenger, identified as 26-year-old Geoffry Guess of Idaho, got into the driver's seat and sped away, said NHP Trooper Dan Lopez.

Suspect arrested in Carson City burglary and chase
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 01/28/2014 - 5:04pmOne suspect is in custody today and faces a charge of felony eluding in Monday's residential burglary on Roundup Road in Carson City that resulted in a vehicle chase and search for the suspect, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
Brandon Peart, 32, of Carson City was booked into jail with bail at $25,000. The resident of the address had reported walking into the home and discovering the burglary in progress. According to the initial report, the suspect threatened the resident with bodily harm before fleeing the area and taking guns with him.

Both detectives and deputies continued the search and the investigation overnight and into this morning.
The suspect allegedly broke into two homes, stole several weapons and other property and fled. A woman walked in on the suspect as he was stealing guns from her home and gave authorities a description of the vehicle the man was seen driving.

Samantha Rose Randazzo, 32, of South Lake Tahoe was arrested on suspicion of felony enhancement, evading, and assault with a deadly weapon. She also faces misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. Randazzo is being held in the El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe. Her bail is $112,500.

Man jailed on felony burglary charge after foot chase involving witness, deputies

According to the arrest report, Deputy Bob Guimont was dispatched to the area of Highway 50 East and Sherman Tuesday around 4 p.m. in reference to a man who had been attempting to open doors to vehicles and homes.
Wanted fugitive convicted in 1976 murder of Carson City child found in Las Vegas

Wanted fugitive Eric William Zessman, 59, was arrested in Las Vegas. Zessman was convicted of the second degree murder of a child in Carson City in 1976. He was first paroled in 1981, and in each of his six parole releases since that date he became a fugitive or committed new crimes.

According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were pursuing the vehicle after Douglas County authorities alerted them to the chase that crossed the county line at around 8:45 p.m.

William Vuki Wilson, 32, faces six felony charges including leaving the scene of an accident, DUI drugs, possessing a stolen vehicle, eluding, drug possession and reckless driving causing substantial bodily harm.

A third person was taken by ambulance. All three have non life-threatening injuries, Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong confirmed.
Two Care Flight helicopters landed on Highway 50 and took two of the injured to Renown Medical Center in Reno. Two suspects in a Mazda Miata that was reported stolen out of Sparks, crashed into an unsuspecting vehicle occupied by a woman, Sheriff Furlong said.

Clarissa will graduate in June and plans to attend UNR majoring in pharmaceuticals. Annie will graduate from Dayton High in May and will begin her college at WNC. From there she plans to earn a BS as a nutritionist and then attend medical school.
Third suspect in car chase in custody; found inside school bus at Carson High School

Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies had been searching for the man since Thursday night and found him hiding inside a school bus in the vehicle maintenance yard of Carson High School. Edward Carol, 31, was taken into custody at 5:24 p.m.
