Seeliger Pumpkin Patch

The 19th Annual Al Seeliger Pumpkin Patch will be held this Saturday October 8th, from 9-3 at the school located at 2800 E Salimon Rd. This year’s event will include the usual carnival type games and prizes, bounce houses, face painting and craft booths along with food and of course a pumpkin patch where you can pick out your pumpkins. New to the event this year will be tethered hot air balloon rides; being proved by Remax, Steven Lincolns office. Balloon Rides will start at 8 am.

Boys and Girls Club Lake Tahoe Golf Classic set for October

The 18th annual Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe Golf Tournament, an annual favorite of locals and visitors, is set for Monday, Oct. 17 at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. The entire $195 entry fee goes directly to the Boys & Girls Club to continue its work with local children. Last year the BGCLT raised over $35,000 with this year’s goal to break $45,000.

Food for Thought golf tourney fundraiser

Pinion Hills Elementary and Sunridge Golf Club are teaming up for a Golf Tournament to raise food and money for Food For Thought. The 4-person scramble tournament is Oct. 1 at 9 a.m. Entry fee is $60, which includes cart, lunch and raffle prizes. You are encouraged to bring food items to donate. High Desert Horsemen 4th Annual Trail Trial

High Desert Horsemen will be conducting their 4th annual trail trial. This is a fun event that gives horses and riders a challenge. They must complete 10 obstacles over a course set up at Fort Churchill State Park (Scout Camp). They may also purchase poker hands and have a chance at winning both simultaneously. The winners of each category (Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced) will win a beautiful engraved belt buckle. Prizes are awarded 1st to 6th place. After the competition all participants are invited to a great lunch and the awards ceremony.

A Worthy Cause: Bowling for Boobs

The first annual 'Bowling for Boobs' (a benefit for breastcancer.org) will be held at the Carson Lanes Family Fun Center on Saturday, October 8th. Registration is at 5pm and the event goes from 6pm-11pm. Carson Lanes Family Fun Center is located at: 4600 Snyder Avenue in Carson City. Some of the things that will take place during the event are: Bowling (of course), Door Prizes, Silent Auction, Food and Drink Specials, Music, Karaoke, and much more.

Coin collectors and numismatists from all over the country will be flocking to Carson City August 26-27 to purchase the coveted Mint Mark “CC” coins and other collectibles. In fact, the hobby of coin collecting is more popular than ever before, thanks to the high price of gold. Bicycle Poker Run

A Bicycle Poker Run is set for Sunday, July 17. This 12 mile ride starts and ends at Mills Park in Carson City. Mostly flat and accessable to all ages. Along the way, there will be 10 challenges at local schools, parks and businesses throughout the city. Challenges include paper airplane toss, bowling, darts and more. Grand prizes for the highest score in each event, best overall score and the best three poker hands. Each sport and fun challenges was designed so that someone as young as a 4th grader can win.
