State Unemployment Site Down Temporarily to Improve System Performance and Access DETR says, Users Must Be Logged Off System by 1 PM

CARSON CITY, NV – The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) has announced their unemployment insurance (UInv) website (http://ui.nv.gov) will be down TODAY, Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., the period of lowest traffic, in order to improve system performance and access expansion for filers.

The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation announced a successful update of its unemployment insurance website. The agency also added and launched a performance feature on Saturday that affords filers another option to reset their online password 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) has announced their unemployment insurance (UInv) website (http://ui.nv.gov) will be down on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., a period of lowest traffic, in order to improve system performance and access expansion for filers.

During this time, all unemployment insurance functions, including unemployment insurance filing will not be functional. Filers are encouraged to visit the site after 7 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Mile High Jazz Band's Tuesday night show canceled due to COVID-19 concerns

Mile High Band and vocalist Jakki Ford have cancelled their performance originally scheduled for April 14 at Living the Good Life Bistro, which is closed except for takeout and delivery following the COVID-19 directives. Their next performance there, planned for May 12, may also be postponed or cancelled.

Error in Carson City COVID-19 test performance leaves local resident in limbo

After spending over a week in horrible pain, a local quad-county resident was finally able to secure a COVID-19 test. However, the situation became all that more complicated when the test was administered incorrectly by Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS).

CCHHS admitted to the error, and has rescheduled a second test to be performed today.
