A 24-year-old inmate in the Carson City Jail faces a felony charge of battery by a prisoner after allegedly punching another inmate in the face on Sunday, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Jacob Martin Madden was jailed earlier Sunday on a felony drug charge after officers found 1.8 grams of heroin during a traffic stop for speeding. He was originally stopped for going 40 mph in a 25 mph zone at Carson and Robinson streets. A K9 drug dog, Ivo, did an exterior sniff of the vehicle, which led to a positive alert and subsequent search.

Seven high risk criminal offenders on parole or probation, and an absconder wanted on a warrant were arrested for violating conditions of their supervision in a four county, multi-agency law enforcement sweep called Operation Back to School, a lieutenant with Nevada Parole and Probation said Tuesday.

A Carson City man arrested Saturday on felony warrant charges from another county, also faces a charge of possession of stolen property after he was found on a mountain bike stolen earlier from a Divot Road home, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

Law enforcement officers from around the region participated in a sex offender sweep late last week known as Operation Vigilance, a multi-agency collaborative effort to verify sex offender registration compliance around Carson City.

The joint effort resulted in 226 sex offender compliance checks. As a result of Operation Vigilance, 2 supervised offenders were arrested for violating their parole or probation terms and conditions, said Lt. Jorge Pierrott of Nevada Parole and Probation Northern Command in Carson City.

A 20-year-old Dayton man was arrested Friday at 12:32 p.m. in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive on a felony charge of child abuse causing physical harm or mental harm and misdemeanor charges of domestic battery and assault, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

A 28-year-old Carson City man and known absconder was arrested Wednesday on multiple felony warrant charges after a tip from parole and probation officers led to a residence where he was staying, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 48-year-old man was arrested Friday on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale and drug trafficking after he was found concealing drugs in his underwear, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 44-year-old Dayton man was arrested Tuesday in the area of Champion and Airport Road on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly carrying a BB gun and telling a woman there was going to be problems with her husband when he returned home, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested Friday in the 1800 block of North Edmonds Drive on felony charges of possession of controlled substance for sales and possession of controlled substance, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

A 52-year-old woman was arrested early Monday in the 500 block of East William Street on a gross misdemeanor charge of possession of dangerous drugs and two lesser charges of violation of bail conditions, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 53-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday on a felony charge of battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly ramming another vehicle during a road rage incident, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday at 4:54 p.m. at the corner of Robinson and Carson streets on suspicion of domestic battery first offense, a misdemeanor. An officer responded to a call for domestic battery. A woman claimed her husband battered her with a wine glass.
The couple was attending the wine walk and got into a heated argument about raising their children, according to the arrest report.

A Carson City couple faces multiple charges after being arrested Tuesday on suspicion of felony child endangerment after officers did a welfare check at a Rand Avenue motel and found drugs and alcohol within reach of children living there, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A Carson City man in custody after an incident Thursday, faces a felony charge of being in possession of a credit card without consent. Andre Anthony Franklin, 22, was found to be in possession of a master card debit card with a woman’s name on it.

The woman, who is also an inmate at Carson City Jail, said only one person was supposed to have the card and when she learned it was lost, the card was canceled and she was given a new one.

UPDATE: 6:15PM: An arrest has been made after a man had eluded Carson City sheriff's deputies in the area of Hawaii Circle. Andre Franklin, 21, was taken into custody at around 5 p.m. He was found in a home a few houses down on Hawaii Circle from where he was originally thought to be hiding. He was discovered by an officer trying to escape through a backyard.

Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong released the following information: At 1:37 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic battery report at the 2000 block of Hawaii Circle in Carson City.

A 24-year-old Carson City jail inmate faces a felony battery charge after allegedly fighting Thursday with an inmate he said had “snitched” on him, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, officers assigned to the jail approached the main floor of the housing unit at around 1:20 p.m. and observed suspect, Joshua Neal Floyd, 24, standing in an aggressive fighting stance with another inmate.

A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 8:59 a.m. in the 1000 block of Latigo Drive on felony suspicion of dissuading a victim from calling 911 for help and domestic battery second offense, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday in the 2000 block of Lone Mountain on suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing a male victim in the head, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 48-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Saturday morning on felony drug trafficking and domestic battery charges after a K9 found a large quantity of methamphetamine outside a home where a woman had been beaten and choked, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 39-year-old Carson City man, Timothy Allen Webb, was arrested Saturday, 11:36 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on a felony drug court warrant, issued April 6, 2015 out of Carson City. A 30-year-old man, Randall Jonathan Saucedo, was also arrested at the location on a felony warrant out of state parole and probation. Both men are being held without bail pending hearings, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 33-year-old Fallon man, Michael Earl Wiseman, was arrested Friday, 12:24 a.m. at Highway 50 and Airport Road on felony drug charges of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and probation violation, a Carson City Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Team deputy said.

A 45-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 5:28 a.m. in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery after allegedly hitting her daughter with a wood back scratcher on the left side of her face and then punching and kicking her daughter in the stomach. Bail: $3,137.

A 24-year-old inmate in the Carson City Jail faces a felony charge of battery by a prisoner after a fight inside the detention facility, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, Stig Corrin Strong of Minden fought with another prisoner with Strong determined to be the primary aggressor. Video footage showed that he pushed, punched and choked another inmate.

A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday 5:52 p.m. at Carson Tahoe Hospital on felony warrant charges alleging sexual assault on a minor and lewdness with a child under the age of 14, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Arrested was Daniel James Sperske, a resident in the 1400 block of North Edmonds Drive. He was at the hospital being treated for an injury. Officers knew he had the warrants issued March 24 out of Carson City Justice Court and made the arrest there. Bail: $150,000.

Three Dayton women were arrested Sunday on felony drug charges after a search warrant was issued to search a home on Shady Grove, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office. Among the drugs found was approximately 302 grams or 3/4-pound of cocaine, nearly 2 pounds of marijuana as well as packing material to sell and distribute the drugs.

The following arrests were made Friday through early Sunday by the Carson City Sheriff's Office. Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in court.

A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 12:18 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Fall Street on suspicion of domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 20-year-old Carson City man was booked Friday on four counts sexual assault involving a minor under 16 and other sex related charges, a Carson City sheriff’s office investigator said.

Drake Martin, 20, was arrested Wednesday on a priority 5 parole and probation violation, with the charges filed Friday by the Carson City District Attorney’s Office, said Detective Sal Acosta. If convicted he faces a maximum of life in prison.

Two people, a 39-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were arrested Saturday in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road in Carson City on suspicion of felony burglary. Arrested were Deeanna Sue Byars and James Thomas Rebelez. Each are being held on $20,000 bond, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

According to the arrest report, at approximately 2 p.m. an officer was dispatched to 3200 Market Street, Walmart, for a petit larceny report. The officer learned the suspects were walking down Hot Springs Road.

A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday after a domestic dispute in which the victim said she was hit by the man and then to get away from him, jumped out of the moving vehicle he was driving, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
