NNDA’s The Business Edge™ is a monthly educational series providing information on issues and trends of interest to the northern Nevada business community. A combination of breakfasts and lunches, these monthly briefings offer opportunities to network with local business executives and management teams, elected and government officials, key workforce development leaders, and important nonprofit organizations.

We are heating things up with a presentation by Southwest Gas at The Business Edge™. Southwest Gas will present business energy-cost saving tips, natural gas as an energy source, and their renewable energy initiatives in Nevada. Southwest Gas provides natural gas service to Nevada, Arizona, and parts of California to over 2 million customers.

NV Energy both supports and participates in economic development statewide. The company’s new CEO, Doug Cannon, will discuss how the company powers what is important for its more than 1.4 million customers and businesses, as well as for the 50 million visitors who visit Nevada each year. An update on the company’s many energy initiatives, including renewables, will be provided.

Heading into Tuesday, June 18, 2019 we're looking at continued warming around the region with a daytime high around 91. Temperatures are expected to actually lower toward the end of the week.
