Carson City was awarded a historic landmark suffrage marker honoring Felice Cohn, a Carson City native who made significant contributions to women’s rights in Nevada. October gaming revenue climbs in Carson City, Lake Tahoe but down statewide

Carson City area casinos saw October gaming revenue climb 8.27 percent and south shore Lake Tahoe 14.32 percent over the same time as last year, according to figures released Tuesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Statewide, gaming revenue was down 3.85 percent.
