The crashes happened without snow or ice on the ground. There are crashes at: Highway 50 East and Airport Road, Highway 50 East and Nichols and Highway 50 East across from Dotty's Casino near the I-580 ramp.

The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office handed down a sentence to a Carson City man involved in a crash resulting in substantial bodily harm.

Jerry William Ruch, 43, was sentenced to a maximum term of 11 years in prison by District Judge Janet Berry for his driving of a stolen motor vehicle and reckless fleeing from law enforcement, which resulted in a substantial automobile collision with another vehicle.

UPDATE: 6:15PM: An arrest has been made after a man had eluded Carson City sheriff's deputies in the area of Hawaii Circle. Andre Franklin, 21, was taken into custody at around 5 p.m. He was found in a home a few houses down on Hawaii Circle from where he was originally thought to be hiding. He was discovered by an officer trying to escape through a backyard.

Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong released the following information: At 1:37 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic battery report at the 2000 block of Hawaii Circle in Carson City.

A 38-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly fleeing from a deputy during a traffic stop, jumping out of the moving vehicle with his pregnant girlfriend still inside, and then attempting to carjack a vehicle occupied by a juvenile from a South Carson Street parking lot, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Four people were arrested Sunday on felony burglary and drug charges after two attempted to steal more than $800 worth of merchandise from a Carson City Walmart store, fleeing security officers and then getting into a vehicle occupied by two that had backpacks of new merchandise with tags, ledgers, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Arrested on felony charges were Ashley Dadey, 28, Jessica Sanchez, 23, Priscilla Denise Roches, 28, and Pablo Benito Martinez, 35.
