This brings the total number of cases to 1,416, with 1,273 recoveries and 17 deaths, 126 cases remain active.
White Cane Days, grand opening, pool tournament and more highlight weekend activities around Carson City

Lions Club kicks off its annual “White Cane Days” Saturday and Sunday in Carson City to increase awareness of the white cane traffic safety laws, and collect used eyeglasses for distribution to those in need. Local business Wizard of Pawz grooming salon hosts a socially-distanced grand opening on Saturday afternoon, followed by a pool tournament at Bulldog Billiards at 6 p.m. Combined with live music and karaoke, the state capitol will be packed with excitement! Nevada governor lifts 50-person limit on gatherings, allowing for large events with restrictions

Carson City arrests: Domestic battery suspect accused of throwing bowl oranges, TV remote

Dayton native Suzanna Stankute on verge of earning prominent Eagle Scout rank

Stankute, 14, is one of the only girls in her council on the verge of earning her Eagle Scout rank. The Eagle Scout rank is the highest achievement attainable in the Scouts BSA program. Members who earn this rank must go through a lengthy review process and complete an Eagle Scout project.
Trick or Treating will continue as planned Friday, Oct. 30 in Carson City; other spooky events announced

Despite the parade being cancelled, Trick or Treating is still going to be held Oct. 30 at this time, unless otherwise directed by Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak.
