'The Odd Couple' from a woman's POV, Greenhouse Project fundraiser, music and more this weekend around Carson City region

The Brewery Arts Center hosts a female version of "The Odd Couple." Carson City's Greenhouse Project is hosting a lunch and dinner fundraiser toward a healthier State Capitol. William Street in Carson City. The concert highlights music and dance of Latin America as well as classical compositions.

Carson City man arrested for falsely reporting daughter kidnapped, causing felony traffic stop of strangers

According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle that had been reported in connection with a possible kidnapping in the area of Highway 50 and Brown.

Carson City man arrested for drug charges in the same parking lot he was arrested in the month before
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Sat, 02/08/2020 - 12:25pmA 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested on three alternative sentencing violations as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and driving without a valid license.
According to the report, Special Enforcement Team deputies were patrolling in an unmarked police vehicle in the area of William and Stewart when they witnessed a man seated upright in the driver seat of a vehicle who continued to duck up and down in the driver’s seat.

Dozens of sweets are in store for Saturday. The American Association of University Women holds its 20th annual Feast of Chocolate at the Carson Plaza and Event Center. Artsy Fartsy Gallery hosts its 9th annual Jewelry and Chocolate Show with several new decorative pieces. To cap-off Saturday, the legendary Cab Calloway Orchestra makes its way to the capital city.
