Carson City deputies make arrests for suspicion of heroin possession, DUI

She has assembled a group of fellow musicians for an evening of intimate, lively entertainment at Valley View Ranch in Gardnerville to raise much-needed funds for non-profit Pine Nut Wild Horse Advocates (PNWHA).

FISH unveils Crisis Cab on Friday, upcoming ‘Have a Heart’ fundraising dinner scheduled for June 1

The Crisis Cab is FISH’s transport vehicle, which will be used to transport those in crisis to Mallory Behavioral Health Crisis Center, a department of Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare.

Spaghetti Fundraiser for David Mickelsen's Kidney transplant
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Tue, 04/30/2019 - 9:12amHello dear friends in the Carson City area. Our friend, David Mickelson, is pretty close to getting his kidney transplant. In fact, we're excited to announce that he is scheduled to have his kidney transplant on May 31!
We still need to do a lot of fundraising, so we plan to have a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, May 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Espolon's Grill in Mound House. The tickets are $12 each and all the proceeds go to David to cover some of his expenses for his transplant. Your ticket will give you spaghetti, meatballs, salad and garlic bread. Drinks sold separately. Here’s a recap.

And that is the case with Cafe at Adele's following the March 28 fire that swept through but was mostly contained to the laundry room area of the iconic Carson City restaurant that sits on the corner of North Carson and John Street.

In an era where students are more comfortable communicating behind a screen rather than face-to-face, teaching Physical Education can be more than challenging at times. It seems that each year there are fewer students who enjoy physical activity. This year has been no different.

From library presentations, a TV show casting call at the Carson Nugget, an afternoon hike, to a train history presentation, a book signing at the Brewery Arts Center, a CHS theater performance and the Carson City movie screening premier of "The Mustang" filmed at the historic Nevada State Prison, there's something for everyone.
