RGJ politics reporter to be Democratic luncheon speaker

A Dayton, Nevada, native, DeHaven is the winner of the 2015 James Foley Medill Medal for Courage in Journalism and a two-time recipient of investigative reporting awards from the Nevada Press Association, which acknowledged his work on stories uncovering fraud and tenant intimidation at a low-income housing complex, as well as a previously unreported backlog of parolees in the Nevada prison system.
