Silver Oak Senior Men Golf Club readies for 2021

Some Nevada Day revelers to parade along Carson Street on their own

While not illegal or encouraged, the Carson City Sheriff's Office is staffed up to make sure that whoever chooses to do anything non-sanctioned, including independent parading on Carson Street, that whatever they choose to do is done without breaking the law.
Signups underway for Carson City Chamber's Halloween-themed golf tourney

The Carson City Chamber has partnered with the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada to temporarily reduce some of the fatigue by organizing a bit of Halloween golf and fun for those who just want to enjoy the outdoors while practicing all the current COVID safety protocols.
Since winter is right around the corner, there may not be many chances left to play golf.

All Carson City School District employees, students and teachers should remain home. No student activities or programs will occur. This includes after school programs, practices, performances and contests including interscholastic athletic events, according to the district.
No school services such as transportation, nutrition or student health will be provided.

All employees, students and teachers should remain home. No student activities or programs will occur. This includes afterschool programs, practices, performances and contests including interscholastic athletic events. No school services such as transportation, nutrition or student health will be provided.
WNC campus is also closed for the day.

Due to winter related conditions, all schools in Carson City will begin 2-hours later than their usual start time, Monday, Dec. 2, 2019. Principals will adjust the school schedule for the shortened day. Educators and staff should arrive at the school at least 15 minutes before school is to begin on the shortened schedule.

Say hello to the new-but-traditional fair events such as food eating contests for adults and youth, dog shows, 4-H animal shows and auctions, demolition derbies, and a contest called the American Ninja Farmer which is exactly what it sounds like and is sure to be the talk of the fair.
