The Carson Comedy Club Presents Comedian Alex Elkin this Friday, Jan. 26 at the Carson Nugget in Carson City. He started his comedy career in the clubs of Hollywood California before he was old enough to be allowed in the front door.

At age 18 he took on the wilds of the Jungle Cruise as a skipper for the Disneyland Resort cracking jokes on and off the boat. He was selected as a finalist in the Laugh Factorys International Donald Trump Impersonator contest.

You’ll be ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ all weekend; Youth Theater Carson City’s final weekend of performances is sure to bring down the house. The Monks of the Gaden Shartse Monastery will teach a Tibetan Calligraphy and Butter Sculpture Workshop and hold a Vajravidarin Healing Ritual in the Brewery Arts Center today. FRIDAY, Jan. 19: Things to do in Carson City

The Carson Comedy Club Presents Comedian Kathleen Dunbar at the Carson Nugget this Friday, Jan. 19. Kathleen Dunbar was the winner of The Las Vegas Comedy Festival and voted Vegas Favorite Comedian. In 2005 the Entertainment Consumers Exchange awarded the Excellence in Entertainment Sunrise Award.

They awarded her again in 2006 and 2007 with the Favorite Comedian award. She has made her mark in Las Vegas and around in casinos and comedy clubs across country. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this comic has Midwest values and ideals.

Earlier this week, we were all 'Singing in the Rain,' but tonight the talented kids of Youth Theater Carson City open up the entertaining musical on the Carson City Community Center's stage. New eatery, Bella Vita Bistro in the Carson Mall, brings local singer, Dougie L in to entertain the dinner crowd. FRIDAY, Jan. 12: Things to do in Carson City

Joshua T. Fonokalafi is a Utah-based comedian from the mean streets of Ogden, Utah’s own Compton.

Raised in the northwest and the son of an Islander immigrant, Joshua tells of his hardships growing up as one of the biggest minorities in the country.

We have survived the first week of 2018, and that deserves some celebration. Put a smile on your face at the Brewery Arts Center: their monthly improv night will have you in stitches. Ev Musselman of the Trippin King Snakes takes the stage at Living the Good Life and will have you on the dance floor. Meet artist Carrie White at the Carson City Art Gallery. Emma Arnold is America's fiercest sweetheart. Equal parts outrageous and thoughtful, her stand-up comedy is engaging, honest, and comes from the heart. Emma is a third generation beekeeper and honey farmer. She is the co-founder and artistic director of the 208 Comedyfest, as well as the co-director of Comedyfort (part of the Treefort Festival), and her debut comedy album, "Shut Up, Calvin" is available from Rooftop Comedy. When not touring, Emma lives in Idaho, where she keeps kids and bees with varying degrees of success.

It’s finally here, the last weekend of 2017. It’s fairly quiet around town, until Sunday night, that is. Today, Muscle Powered is leading a five-mile half-day hike along Prison Hill. Take advantage of the unseasonably warm weather, and join them. The Carson Nugget is hosting three nights of comedy this weekend: catch Myles Weber on the stage tonight. Head’s up. A long weekend is just beginning. Tonight, funnyman Steven Briggs kicks off three nights of comedians at Carson Comedy inside of the Nugget Casino. Whiskey Tavern on Highway 50 East hosts a Friday night karaoke party. Enjoy the music stylings of Tom Miller during dinner at Living the Good Life, then stick around for some dancing.

Mike Betancourt is Intense, energetic, animated, and outrageous. These are just a few of the words that describe multi-faceted performer and creator Mike Betancourt, the comedian, actor, writer and producer. As a comedian, Mike tears up stages all around the nation and creates new fans wherever he goes.

Myles has a comedic magnetism that's right up there with Robin Williams. Myles has appeared on MTV's "Greatest Party Story Ever". You may have also seen Weber as the Host for Portico TV or maybe youve seen him as a correspondent for Popular Science, one of the biggest science websites in the world.

Also able to flex his comedy writing muscle, Myles wrote for Portico and Smosh Pit Weekly on Smoshs YouTube Channel. (The biggest gaming channel in the world.) Myles' high energy crowd work has kept audiences in stitches all across the U.S. and Canada.

The Carson Comedy Club Presents Comedian Steven Briggs an LA based comedian and actor, Steven Briggs entertains audiences with his high-energy unique style of beatboxing fused with personal storytelling. Steven has performed in clubs and theaters across nineteen US states and seven different countries.

In addition to touring outside of the US, Briggs has hosted film festivals and more recently performed for the troops in Addis Ababa, Djibouti, Kuwait and Bahrain. His TV appearances include local networks and ESPN.

Friday has finally arrived, and it has brought some nightlife with it. Enjoy the Trippin King Snakes on stage at the Max Casino. The Carson Nugget gives you comedian John Hilder in Carson Comedy and the band Adrenaline playing in ‘The Loft.’ Kids will love the Wild Horse Children’s Theater production of ‘Honk, Jr.’, while ‘Love/Sick,’ performed by the Proscenium Players, is meant for an older audience. December has arrived, and all things holidays are on the way. The annual Silver and Snowflakes Tree Lighting Celebration tonight will shut down traffic on Carson City for a little while. Sleigh rides, caroling, the Empty Bowls Soup Fest, and a performance by the Youth Theater Carson City Showstoppers are just some of the planned festivities. The Carson Comedy Club Presents Comedian Ryan Wingfield! Ryan is considered among the smartest writers on the comedy scene, Ryan Wingfield is quite possibly the funniest thing to come out of Alaska. He uses a combination of misdirection and innuendo, he keeps his comedy clean while still maintaining an edge. His show includes social satire with a mixture of his own life experiences. From growing up in one of the coldest places on earth to his current role as a stay-at-home dad and "trophy husband."

On November 24th, 2017, The Carson Comedy Club inside of the Carson Nugget presents Comedian Carlos Rodriguez. The 21 and older show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 and available from guest services.

Based out of Atlanta, Carlos is a Navy veteran, a family man, and one who loves to make people laugh. Humor and comedy have kept Carlos sane in one of the most stressful and unenjoyable places to be.

The wet weather has passed, at least for a few days. If you didn’t want to brave the downpour to drop-off a frozen turkey Thursday, then you are in luck. Another frozen turkey drive runs all day at the Max Casino in Carson City or the Sanchez Meat Co. in Minden. The Carson High Craft Show, a long-time locals’ favorite, begins this evening at 5 p.m.

On Veterans Day, we take time to honor those men and women that have served in our armed forces. The holiday is observed today, meaning schools and public offices will be closed. Life Choices is putting on our Fall FUNdraiser with Comedian John Crist at the Carson City Community Center on Dec. 3. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

John Crist does over 200 live shows a year and has been on BuzzFeed, Live at Gotham and Laughs on Fox. He is great. We will also have Channel 2 reporter Ky Sisson as our MC, running a minute-to-win-it style competition from the main stage as well.
