Tom and Mary Kay start with music from Ireland and Scotland then branch out from their Celtic roots and also perform the music of The Eagles, The Band, Beach Boys, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys, John Denver, Michael Martin Murphy and more. Introduction to Acoustic Music and Singing (For ages 6 and up)

Students will follow the development of genres such as the blues, bluegrass, Celtic music, gospel, jazz, Latin, and traditional folk music through presentations and demonstrations. Participants will be able to try out a variety of acoustic instruments. Songs will be selected by the group for a short recital at the end of the week.
Tuition: $95 ($85 for siblings and BAC Members)
Hours: 9:00 to 11:30 am Mon-Fri
Dates: Session I: June 18-22
Session II: Aug 6-10

Men of Worth

Scotsman Donnie Macdonald and Irishman James Keigher blend music and storytelling to take audiences on journey to their homelands. The self described Extreme Traditional Celtic Musicians have preserved the emotion and tradition of their homeland songs while at the same time telling new stories.

The Festival takes place at the historic Tahoe Tallac site, a 74-acre setting currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a 1800’s favorite getaway for Northern California’s elite members of society. But you don’t have to be an elite member of society to enjoy the variety of affordable and sometimes even free events at the Valhalla Festival.
