Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities over the next three days. Restaurants in Carson City will host Valentine’s Day specials on Friday. The Carson City Celtic Music series will be at the Brewery Arts Center on Saturday featuring Fortunate Strangers. Combined with live music and comedy at the Carson Nugget, the Carson City region is in store for a busy three days. Read on for more information.

The 2020 Celtic Music Series will continue on Feb. 15, 2020 in the Brewery Art Center’s performance hall in Carson City at 7 p.m. with Fortunate Strangers. This is the sixth season of Carson’s Celtic Music series.

Fortunate Strangers is a West Coast band featuring Scottish and Irish songs. The band combines the experience of three performers from the San Francisco Bay Area and the High Sierra. They will be performing Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.

Events include Harvest Train festivities at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, Thomas the Tank Engine and steam train rides in Virginia City, the first-ever Gandy Dance in Dayton, October Ghost Walk Tours through downtown Carson City and more!

The BAC is hosting the 2019-2020 Celtic Music Series for its sixth season. Shows will begin October 19, 2019 and will continue until May 16, 2020.

The Brewery Arts Center in Carson City is hosting the Celtic Music Series for the 2019-2020 season. The series hosts seven performances by regional, national, and international Celtic musicians from October through May.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. the Dangberg Home Ranch Celtic Faire will be the final special event of the 2019 Dangberg Summer Festival. A celebration of the Irish, Scottish and Welsh people who helped to settle Carson Valley will offer a day filled with entertainment and activities for all ages.

The Wicked Tinkers headline the Levitt AMP Carson City outdoor Music Series this Saturday at the Brewery Arts Center’s Change Companies Outdoor Amphitheater. Only two shows remain for Carson City concert series and this Saturday's show, you won't want to miss.

The next Carson City Board of Supervisors meeting will be held Thursday, June 6, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Sierra Room of the Community Center, located at 851 E. William Street.

To be discussed are funding, contract purchases, grants, special event costs, and more.

Coming to Carson City on Friday, May 17, the Brewery Arts Center Celtic Series features The Sophie & Fiachra Trio who will perform in the Maizie Harris Jesse Theatre.

The Sophie & Fiachra Trio are a group of “musiciens sans frontieres' who refuse to let the Atlantic sunder their love of their own and one another’s Irish and Québecois musical traditions.”

Comprising of Irish uilleann piper Fiachra O’Regan, Québec fiddler/singer Sophie Lavoie, and guitarist André Marchand, the trio take traditional Irish and Québécois traditional music, blended with Lavoie’s “lithe and masterful” compositions. Their choice of songs will “captivate the most casual listener”

Since 1995, the Wicked Tinkers have been playing ancient rhythms and forgotten sounds—things might have heard hundreds of years ago at a Scottish wedding or Highland riding party—but have reimagined the music for the twenty-first century. The aim to create a sound that is both “ancient and hauntingly familiar” with use of bagpipes, tribal drums, didgeridoos, and Bronze-Age Irish horns paired with a modern, rock-and-roll energy; their music will transport you back in time and get an audience of their feet with a raw, primal, and exciting sound.

Well we're here Carson City. We're heading into March 15, the last Friday of winter 2019. While March 20 may be the first day of Spring, the weekend ahead is about the Irish and their spring. Celtic music trio Tres Noctambule has cancelled this evening's performance as the current weather conditions made it difficult for the musicians travel to Carson City. We will notify everyone of the new date as soon as it settled. We will honor all tickets purchased to tonight's show and also give refunds if any ticket holders have a conflict for the new date. The Brewery Arts Center thanks the public for your understanding and continued support.
